To book train tickets from home, first you have to download and install IRCTC Rail Connect app on your mobile, only then you can book the ticket. Click on the link given below to download the app
Train Ticket Booking Process 2025
✓ Click on the Book Ticket option.
✓ Select the names of both the stations (from where to where).
✓ Select the type of your seat (AC 1,2,3, Non-AC, First Class, Second Class, Third Class, Sleeper)
✓ Select the type of reservation in Quota like (Lady/Tatkal/Lower Berth or Senior Citizen/Premium Tatkal/Disability)
✓ Select the date of travel.
Tick the other boxes (as applicable).
✓ Click on the Search Train option.
✓ Select a train as per your timing and click on the Refresh option to check the availability.
✓ Select any one of the options and date from AC 1,2,3, Non-AC, First Class, Second Class, Third Class, Sleeper.
✓ Click on the Passenger Detail option and fill in the passenger details.
Passenger Registration Process
✓ Click on the link given below to fill the passenger details https://www.irctc.co.in/nget/profile/user-registration
✓Create your User ID and Password yourself.
✓ Choose your language and security question and answer it and click on Continue option.
✓ Enter your first+middle+last name.
✓ Choose the type of employment and enter your date of birth.
✓ Select marital status and gender and select your nationality.
✓ Enter your E-Mail ID and mobile number and click on Continue option.
✓ Enter the house number and street/mohalla/village name and PIN code.
✓ Select the district and select the name of the post office.
✓ Enter your 10 digit mobile number.
✓ Accept the T & C and click on Register option.
✓ After registration, set the PIN of your app.
In the Select Passenger option, click on the Add New Passenger option.
✓ Fill in the details of the passengers who want to travel such as their name, date of birth, gender, nationality, berth preference and click on Add Passenger. This way, the details of the passenger who wants to travel will be entered.
✓ After entering the passenger details, you have to pay the fee for that ticket online/offline.
✓ After paying the fee, you can print your ticket.
